Truck Driver Training

This on-the-job training program focuses on providing one-on-one instruction to truck drivers with the aim of enhancing their knowledge, skills and attitude in operating any type of truck safely and efficiently. The instructor will closely work alongside the trainees, identifying areas for improved efficiency. Upon completion, a theoretical and practical assessment and recommendation report will be provided for each trainee.

This training program is designed for individuals seeking dump truck qualifications for work on mine sites and construction sites.

Objective

The objective of the Dump Truck Training program is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to operate a dump truck safely and efficiently. Through comprehensive instruction and practical exercises, the training aims to ensure that participants can effectively perform pre-operational inspections, operate the dump truck in various conditions, properly load, haul, and dump materials, perform parking and refueling procedures, and adhere to safety protocols. Upon completion of the training, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills to operate a dump truck competently, minimizing risks and contributing to a safe work environment.

Training delivery method

The training will be conducted using a combination of knowledge-based and hands-on training methods. It will consist of 8 hours classroom training, including PowerPoint presentations, case studies and instructional videos, followed by 8 hours of practical training. The training will also include a written test (passing score of 80%) and practical demonstration and assessment.
